Technical Support Engineer, APAC- Switches and Routers, Unix- Singapore
Our client is a Nasdaq listed IT & Telecom- switching and routing equipment vendor. They are looking for a Customer Support post sales Engineer to be based in their Singapore office.
Responsibilities:
Provides high-level technical support for the company’s internal and external customers, managing the entire technical well-being of the customers in the region in the Asia Pacific region.
Performing in-depth problem investigation, providing technical solutions and guidance to customers and technology partners.
Provides daily customer communication via phone and email.
Maintaining clear, concise and accurate communication between all key stake-holders, internal and external (customer/partner)
Requirements:
Degree holder in Computer Science or Engineering with at least 3 years experience as a technical support role.
Hands-on experience in providing networking LAN/WAN products support preferably with ISPs, Telcos and Mobile Operators, Tier1/Tier2 networks
Strong background in IP technology and infrastructure including routers, switches and FWs
Someone with experience in database (SQL Queries) or UNIX or Linux or programming (TCL, scripts, VB), will be an added advantage but not necessary.
Strong understanding in network protocols (TCP/IP, VoIP, P2P, HTTP, Video Streaming…)
Extensive hands-on experience with networking devices (switches, routers, remote access, servers, network management systems, etc.). Experience in WAN networking management in a company or ISP
The role is open to Singaporean and Singapore PR only.
Salary range: SGD 2.8K-3.5K per month.
